ABOUT GROS PITON:

Perched along St Lucia’s southwest coast and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the dramatic twin peaks of Gros Piton and Petit Piton are among the Caribbean island’s most memorable landmarks. Towering 2,619 feet (798 meters) above sea level, the Gros Piton, the larger of the two, is also a popular challenge for avid hikers.

Gros Piton Trail is a 4.7 kilometer moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Micoud, Micoud, St. Lucia that features beautiful wildflowers and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

Gros Piton is a moderately easy climb, with an average time of two hours. The hike can be strenuous but can be made by inexperienced hikers with little to no danger or risk.

Climb to the peak of Saint Lucia's most iconic landmark on this hike up the slopes of the Gros Piton. You get a whole panorama of amazing views along the winding mountain trail, and you get to know the surrounding rainforest and the gleaming blue waters of the Caribbean with a full day's worth of exploring.
